President's Message Welcome
to Athol Memorial Hospital. Our
hospital has been serving the community since 1950. The hospital
touches thousands of people every year. Unless you have been a
patient in our
emergency room, or have visited the hospital for other
medical
services, you may not realize the full range of our
capabilities. I am very proud of the care we provide, and the high patient satisfaction we achieve. Our nearly 50 doctors cover a range of medical specialties that includes orthopedic surgery, cataract surgery, emergency surgeries and more. We operate a pain clinic, radiology services, an oncology clinic, a sleep center and 25 inpatient beds. In 2006, we achieved Primary Stroke Service designation. Patients with symptoms of stroke can now be diagnosed and treated more quickly than ever before. We have added other technologies, such as a Picture Archiving and Communications System, to provide advanced diagnostic and treatment services.My job is to guide the team that works every day to keep Athol Memorial Hospital in the ranks of Massachusetts' excellent, community hospitals, and provides quality healthcare close to home.
