Engineering Technician - Facilities(new position)

40 hours/1st Shift and on-call

Position Summary:  Performs a variety of duties in and around the buildings of the hospital complex.  This is to include the operation and maintenance of the facilities mechanical equipment, such as compressors, generators, steam boilers, to provide for utilities such as light, heat and power for the operation of the facility. Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment.                                                                    Position Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent 3 – 5 years relevant experience; second class Fireman’s License; Contractor’s License; willingness to obtain new certifications, ie lead paint removal; MA Driver’s License with an excellent, clean driver’s record, verified with the Mass. Registry of Motor Vehicles; knowledge of all trades; demonstrated supervisory experience; ability to be on-call; responsive to AMH needs; ability to pass a hospital physical exam as well as a physician’s exam; excellent customer service skill sets; computer skills.
