Surgical Services

Surgical Services provides preoperative teaching and care to patients receiving inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical procedures and recovery. We have a holding area where you may stay with a family member prior to surgery and a short stay unit for outpatient post procedure recovery. An adjacent waiting room is available for visitor convenience.

• Anesthesia/Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit(PACU)

  The Anesthesia Department provides a comprehensive array of services to patients preoperatively, peri-operatively and post operatively. Specialized pain management treatment and procedures are provided on an outpatient basis by our anesthesiologists.
   

• Operating Room

  The surgical procedures performed here by our highly trained surgeons are the same as those found in larger facilities. The difference is that our quality care is provided with the caring found in a community hospital. Some of the procedures performed:

  • Advanced laproscopic techniques
  • Arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery.
  • Cataract surgery
  • Cancer surgery including breast surgery and excision of tumors, with pathologists on site if required.
  • Ear, nose, throat.
  • Endoscopic diagnostic procedures. (colonoscopy, gastroscopy, etc).
  • Gallbladder surgery( including the minimally-invasive laproscopic technique).
  • Gynocology
  • Hernia repairs.
  • Total knee and hip joint replacement.
  • Urology surgery (prostrate, bladder, etc.).

  For those patients who need other more specialized, advanced procedures, transfer is arranged to other tertiary care hospitals.
